Shires Tack

Shires offers tack under three key ranges: ARMA, Blenheim, and Velociti.

Shires ARMA tack offers high-performance synthetic designs engineered for even pressure distribution, with anti-rub protections built into the products from the very first principles. ARMA products are built around anatomical silhouettes to allow complete freedom of movement while being riddern, made up of heavy-duty, stretch-resistant nylon webbing to ensure maximum safety and a range of different padding options to suit the horse and rider's own preferences for comfort.

Blenheim is the most enduring, classic collection of leatherwork from Shires which will stand up to everyday usage and still look as elegant as the day it was bought. This is a highly dependable range which is budget-friendly - especially important in this era of constant cost of living crises, soaring hay prices, and what feels like near-constant price-gouging from international conglomerates. Blenheim features environmentally-conscious vegetable-tanned leather with traditional English styling and designs, placing a strong emphasis on function and reliability. Without the more complex ergonomic curves of other lines and brands, Blenheim tack is easy to put on, easy to remove, and - more importantly - quick and easy to clean and maintain. Many classic items from this line have been folded into the introductory Velociti GARA range.

Velociti encompasses Shires' more premium collections, featuring premium leatherwork and ergonomic and anatomically-designed elements to relieve pressure and work with the horse or pony's anatomy to relieve pressure, optimise performance, and enhance communication between horse and rider. Structurally, the range is split into distinct tiers to match individual styles and performance requirements. As with the Blenheim range, Shires Velociti features environmentally-conscious vegetable-tanned leather which arrives soft and supple and ready for use without additional oil.
Velociti GARA is the introductory range, overlapping significantly with the Blenheim brand in its offering of traditional craftsmanship with dependable value. GARA designs prominantly feature straightforwards, classic silhouettes which accentuate the horse's natural appearance in soft, high-quality leather.
Velociti RAPIDA introduces more advanced technology into the brand, prioritising even distribution of pressure and more contemporary designs in the same high-quality, soft leather as the GARA. The bridles are built around the signature FreedomFit headpiece featuring a wide, cushioned crown, cutaway ear profiles, and an innovative poll gap which relieves pressure on targeted sensitive spots on the horse's head.
